Dark Art - Poem by Amanda Miller

Pain is a dark art,
That embodies the soul.
Tears are the darts,
And your heart is the hole.

The hurt is unimaginable.
The love is all but lost.
When noone surrounds you,
You weep at all costs.

It isn't easily mastered.
Hiding the pain away,
Pretending it doesn't exist,
Lying and saying you're okay.

But you do it,
Because it's all you know.
Placing the tears aside,
Never letting them show.

I really like this....I'm not going to give some flowery, ambigious bullshit compliment that people around here seem to thrive on, I'll just say that this is really good......I'm in no place to give advice but I found when I began to eschew traditional rhyme schemes that writing poetry became more fun, and it varies your work(free verse, is that what it's called? ? ?) ....you're 18 too! I was beginning to think everybody on this was 74 and from obscure countries...Getting feedback on this thing is tough: ( ......I like your poetry and their names....interesting...good luck with everything.
