Dark Clouds Poem by Sheila Burns

Dark Clouds

Rating: 5.0

Dark clouds drifting by
Throughout most days
Are easily ignored.
But some days completely
Block the sunshine and yet allow
No rain to bless my plough.

However as few know
I have the power to control
But usually prefer
To let the clouds determine
Allowing me to feel the burden.

Great write, Sheila... we do have power over the 'clouds', but it's up to us whether or not to use it. Well done! ! Brian

I liked this Sheila nice the way the rhyme comes in in last part of each stanza. Nice mix of different styles. Séamus
