Dark World Of Mine Poem by Cassie Lee

Dark World Of Mine

I travel through a world so cold and black,
I turn and realize I can't go back.

No one to help me if I fall,
No one to help me, no one at all.

I enter the world I think Is my own,
Safe from the place I once called home.

The demons I left still in my mind,
nothing will erase the sins of time.

Now I am alone, happily free.
I do not care where life will take me.

Dark and cold in the night,
It's the price I pay to cease the fight.

I continue my journey to find the light,
away from the demons that cursed the night.

The world of the unknown, while frightening at times, is still better than what we leave behind - this is so very well done, Cassie, and a pleasure to read. Love, CJ
