Darkest Hour Poem by Tessa Marsland Pettigrove

Darkest Hour

When the world falls apart
I feel it shaking beneath my feet
Like an open window with a wild draft
Yet I feel as though it has never been so sweet.

I think of how I used to be
The World I used to know
Then I saw what you have been doing to me
I had absolutely nowhere else to go.

I've moved on in these hard times
Never once have I looked back at your poor decision
Remembering how special we were sometimes
Has just caused ourselves a major collision

P.S. I will be adding more to this in the near future.

Good read. A sense of loss prevails in the poem which i'm sure will be felt more intensely as you add more to it.
