Darkness Poem by A Puppet

Darkness

Rating: 5.0

To surrender, to fall,
For grace flees,
When one touches that in absence.

A chill lurks,
ensnaring the warmth,
Clawing, ravenous, vacant.

Swallowing the glint,
One fails to grasp,
A lifeline from another.

Left in desolate anguish,
Devoid, darkness enveloped.
Hungering, a soul, relinquished

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Enjoy my first piece! I am very new to poetry and haven't written anything for a long while. This was essentially me breaking that dryspell, however, I am more fond of descriptive writing. ALways wanted to dip into poetry.
