Darkness Poem by Aryan Nuwal

Darkness

I was now all exhausted n it was getting late
I didn't know where I was but I was moving straight
I was losing it, my confidence seemed to disappear
The Sun had already set, darkness now was there
The silence was rising, the wild thoughts rose inside me
With more of the rustling, the fear was settling inside me

The breeze blew gently, rustling along with it the hay
These were speaking to me, asking me to go away
Just then I felt that a hand over me
But when I turned around to look, there was nothing for me to see
I was now just cold I knew my sweet dreams are all just broken
Just from my mouth the name of god was spoken

I looked up at the sky, grey clouds were moving in
Feeling the goose bumps all over my weathered skin
All I could hear was the wolves howling nearby
I went for escaping the maze but I felt it was my last try
I saw an owl whose wings were as black as the night
A fake smile on my face was not I needed to fight

I started running away from as if I were its prey
The hunt of the darkness, its prey for today
I knew it was my end, I had already closed my eyes
I could now just hear several annoying cries
I let the dark, the dark to enclose me
The next morn' I was found beside the banyan tree………………
