Darkness Inside Me Poem by Black Rabbit

Darkness Inside Me

Into the dark hole I will go.
To the place that the light will not see me.
So you won't have to look at my face and see shame.
I've done it before, I can do it again.

I want to be the world to you, but this world is flat.
I want to be the stars for for but this star is black.
I wish a million things for you but my wishes are unfulfilled.
And I want to say the right words to you, but I am speaking wrong.

Into the darkness I must go.
So that I might find my way.
And you won't have to do those things.
That I've made you do.

I want to be the companion, but I'm not always there.
I want to be the dream maker, but my dream world is bare.
I have done a million things for you, but I've come up one short.
I want to be there till the end of time, but my watch is broke.

Into the black I need to go.
To redeem my heartless soul.
For when you've seen what I've done.
There will no longer be a sun.
