Drain Poem by Black Rabbit

Drain

Rating: 1.0

I've been trying to stop the world from spinning forever.
My life has been spent waiting.
Waiting for the water to run down the drain.
But it never does.

I look out and I see the same places the same faces.
Going by again and again.
Its come to the point that I don't say hi anymore.
I'm not excited to see them coming around.

I've tried: kicking, and screaming, and grabbing on.
But nothing holds or hears or cares.
I've seen others swim by with ease and I wish
they would reach out and grab hold of me.

Why is it so easy for them and not for me?
Why have I been given these weights?
Why don't they drag me down far enough to drown?
When will it stop?

I've been trying to stop the world from spinning forever.
My life is spent waiting.
Waiting for the water to run down the drain.
To end this pain.

Black Rabbit......... '...Why is it so easy for them and not for me......' This is an interesting line and idea. This is how it looks from your point of view. But you could be wrong, and it could all look different from another person's point of view. Here in Ireland we have a saying for this type of thing... 'If we all put our troubles on the table, you might be happy to pick your own back' Keep well, be happy, and don't go near the gate! ! Thanks Martin
