Of sunsets gazed ‘til dewy morns
And lovely nights of firelight gone

Of ponderous days lost in thought
And evenings by the lattice drop

Of loving words to caressed sweets
And thoughtless times of tender beats

Of loving touch with passions deed
And romance forever filling need

Of minutes lost to lustful hearts
And decades full of earnest starts

Of love and life and lust and loss
And all those things we feel so oft
