De Havilland Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

De Havilland

De Havilland

Mostly known as a park
Toronto's Downsview!
Was ours also…

I joined TAM
Stayed there till I saw
The name change into CASM
Got on board
Studied, all of it, to its end
Must confess: 'Feel abhorred! '
To find it: 'Dead…Closed…'

This place changed the map
Britain won at last
Lost Germans!

This place made planes
Trained, shipped the airmen
They went bombed, and were downed
Killed also, were knocked out
Claim says: 'The soldier are returned! '
Don't believe the claims! ! !

Most of the history is buried.

We could have saved a lot
But our chair…? ? ?

A college used the name
Smart in business,
Taking loans, got grant
From the Federal
Its amount ‘Twenty six'
(To its right six zeros) .

Why not us?
(The people's Museum'

A Russian rightly said:
'You are just Old-Boys' Club! '
