Dead Sure Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Human soul had died in me
I had become like animal and free
Waiting for easy and lovely pry
It was only desire but surging with wild try

For many days I had eye on her
She too gave an easy pass to stranger
This made me to think little more
Why not have try if she is for?

It was not the case so
She was new to village and preferred to go
In casual manner with everybody
She was like natural flower and happy

I lured her to come near
She was now seized with fear
The flower was about to be crushed
I grabbed her forcefully and pushed

I could see danger in her eyes
This made me forceful try
I stalled her move for any cry
She was laid motionless and dry

The animal in me had done job
She was almost forcefully robbed
It was no gentleman’s work
I too felt guilty with no honorable words

For many days I wondered
And thought about guilty to be ordered
No such thing must take place in future
I was restless in mind but not at all sure

It was dead sure that I shall not honor
For whatever I thought in near future
It will vapor with fresh air’s flow
I will be same again with new flow
