Dead Zone Poem by Lorraine Licona

Dead Zone

Rating: 5.0

The fragrance of dead flowers fill this room
of love that never could survive
My thoughts are of death
My life is not life
but a daily existence without feeling
My eyes are like those of the living dead
Staring at nothing
Empty and cold
No smile comes to my face
I’m void of emotions
but on the inside
My heart screams for you
and cries a million tears
which flow like an endless river
My tormented soul aches
To feel your love again
