Dear Absolute Truth Poem by Mohammad Younus

Dear Absolute Truth

Dear Absolute Truth,

I find myself in awe, even envious of my own awareness,
For I now see that You are my True Essence,
And this essence is shared with all that is,
Every part of Your magnificent manifestation.

I long to sit in silence,
To witness Your creation unfolding around me,
Not to withdraw, but to remain captivated,
By the beauty of Your divine expression.
I wish to rest, to nap peacefully,
In the gentle lap of Your manifestation.

The only sight I crave is Your radiant smile,
A smile that sustains me,
That fills my being with life and purpose.
Without it, the world would lose its charm,
And I would lose the joy of existence.

I am humbled when You listen,
To these thoughts I offer about You,
These childlike musings,
Which You call both fantastic and true wisdom.
You reflect upon me Your light,
Revealing my essence and my innocence.

I am ready to face any consequence,
For turning away from earthly distractions.
I declare that I have found You,
And I am here, in Your presence.
I do not know if You approve,
But I am proud of my journey,
Even the fall from Paradise,
For I have not lost You.

I see You here, on this earth,
And it brings me peace.
I marvel that You are still with me,
That I am not separate from You.
Yet I wonder, why was my true essence,
Hidden from me for so long?

With gratitude and wonder,
