Dear Elder Brother Poem by Michael Ordia

Dear Elder Brother

Rating: 4.5

Dear Elder brother,
As you sit in the arms of the father
I hope you look down with a smile
At all the courage I had to gather
To shoot at life like a pile.
I cannot forget the things you taught
I'm sorry I can't remember your voice
But times we laughed and fought
And laughed at naughty boys
Ring in my head like church bell
Days without you is hell.

I hope you learn stories I love to hear
And teach me how to face my fears
Then play like children, our father's sons
Dance around and sing with fun
I can't wait to see you brother and friend
I cannot wait till the very end.
