Dear Rapist Poem by Joel Abbas Wayarda

Dear Rapist

Dear Rapist
Dear Rapist,
Justifying the beast within you;
Shift the blame from your incontrollable lust;
Give reasons for your unspeakable evil;
You are here by discharged and acquainted;
But not from the class of evil and the category of the beast.

Dear Rapist,
Where is your conscience when you rape?
Thought of your Sister better still your Mother;
Raped by an Animal in the form of human being;
Groaning helplessly hoping for help;
Its obvious you are nothing less than a brute.

Dear Rapist,
Who bewitched you and drag you into a monster?
You were not like this;
This was not your dream at your tender;
We could have sent you back where you came from;
Re-write this script and be the Human being we use to know.

DEAR RAPIST;
FOR HOW LONG SHALL THIS CONTINUE....?
RETREAT AND JOIN THIS CAMP
LET US FIGHT FOR A NOBLE CAUSE
MORE REWARDING THAN THE TRADE OF A RAPIST

Dear Rapist
