Dear Xgf Poem by Devin Iven

Dear Xgf

Sitting on the edge of a dock at midnight.
Just staring out into the ocean of blackness, made up of water and sky.
The wind whipping at my hair and bare feet.
The gentle song of water lapping against the solid ground behind us.
The fleeting warmth of your body next to mine.
The soft touch of your hair against my cheek.
The silence says more than we ever could.
This is my perfect moment.
This is why I am still alive.
This is the single memory I grasp desperately to remember.
My anchor to this world.
Dear ex-gf: You have saved me more times then you will ever know.
I only wish I could have saved you too.
