Death Be Not Shy Poem by Margaret Dean

Death Be Not Shy

Death, Death
I see you peeking
At the door.
Don't be shy.
Come in and
Talk a while
I'm not ready
to leave with you
just yet.
And you have time
to sit and chat
A little longer
We have friends in common
And they recommend you
As a companion
To lead the way.
Come and sit a while.
Let's chat.
I'll be ready soon
to go with you.
