Death Comes Stealthily Poem by Frank Adie

Death Comes Stealthily

Rating: 1.5

Death comes stealthily
This is man's abrupt end
Breath gives way to eternal sleep
Bodies lay cold in a lifeless heap
Hearts grieve
Condolences are expressed
The Coffin maker gets to work
The earth opens her mouth six feet wide
Man is thrust into the mother earth
Death comes stealthily
This is man's abrupt end.
