Death is a one-way door, locked on the other side,
impenetrable and opaque, like hardened steel,
designed to keep us earthlings out of heaven...
I banged my head on it in bitter agony,
though knowing that, from where I was,
I'd never have a chance to catch
a glimpse of my beloved one
in heaven, behind that door...
My heart and mind rebelled against,
what I perceived, as utter lack
of sensitivity on Your part...
O God, forgive me!
Please send Your Holy Spirit,
to teach me how to wait more patiently,
more confident that, in time, You'll tell
Saint Peter to unlock that door for me,
and let me pass, to finally meet Jesus,
who promised us to reunite and bless
my dear beloved one and me.
Amen.
