Death Of A Light Poem by Hikaru Etanaru

Death Of A Light

Rating: 5.0

In the most darkest corner, can the most dazzling light be found
But this is a tale of a light turned down
After losing everything he had,
The demon child was a title he was crowned

He was just a child when he lost
His parents, his house they payed the ultimate cost
They were killed by a fire, made by his hand
His heart which was once bright but now remains only frost

He payed and prayed for God's salvation
But nether god nor angles granted him any station
Even the church had denied his existence
His heavy heart cursed god in frustration

The all mighty caring god, didn't care
With His anger and dark thoughts, he could do nothing but bear
Bear the towns men calling him a demon's child
his small heart had nothing but fear

In his frustration he heard a priest say
'It is God's will, All penance that we pay'
His broken heart could take no more
With will and determination he revoked god and he revoked that day

He became the demon they all wanted
He did all those thing they taunted
But within that darkness was a light
He protected those who the town never counted

In his darkness, he committed crime
Only to give it to the starving this time
The people he saved live a happy life
He found warmth in his dead heart as he was nine

He helped and helped as many as he could
But the wrath of god he revoked would
Follow him every where he stood
In form of men dressed in black, poisoned his food

All the deeds, all the pain he though he could endure
All felt meaningless, his heart could now never be cured
To be betrayed by the woman he loved
Unparalleled darkness did his broken heart now bore

he looked up the sky, in anger and grief He screamed
Till his throat bled dry, his tears streamed
He cried and cried, with nothing to do
Nowhere to go, no one to care, it all became something he dreamed

With eyes of a dead man towards death was he led
A child he saved came to him with bread
In the child he saw the god he revoked
With new tears in his eyes his sadness now spread

In his last moment all he did was smile
With his dying breath he screamed out to the child
This was a painful, yet a meaningful life
A lie so obvious, like water and oil

But the child said its okay to cry
As it was now all gone with the time gone by
He told him he wasn't all mighty
That he couldn't make all suffering, naught but a lie

He said he felt his sadness, but he told him it's okay
He was once a child as troubling as Loki
But after witnessing his suffering
The revoked god promised to save all those he could and will never back away

But now as it was time to say goodbye
God took him to see his family he lost at five
Now he no-longer felt the need to revoke
In his death did he truly felt alive
