The current
Drove swiftly against the eddies of an incoming tide
Shattering the blue like fractured glass
That shone with the white of a thousand stars
Fish arched their backs and
Rolled in the lazy sunlight
As dark shadows winged their way
Across the milky foam
Spewing death from talons like
An airborne crab
Sending one less fish
home
