Be wakeful of the manipulation
seeking opportunity…lying in wait
Waiting for the moment to pounce
As unwariness takes the bait

Stay alert and stand back a distance
Take in a broad view of the situation
Concealed motives could be a reason
for catalyzing acts of desperation

When it seems that lashing back
is necessary… avoid being explosive
Maintain self-respect and think it over
Don't resort to behavior that is corrosive
