Deceive your conscience

It shows betrayal
When you offer no denial
About involvement of a person
And keep quiet for unknown reasons

You may have long relation
And good association
But that is entirely private affair
You must act fair

If he is involved in criminal activities
And some search is on by agencies
You must extend support to such branches
And help them to reach some conclusion

If you are bowing down
Under pressure from own conscience
It shall be called cowardice
With humanitarian breach of promises

Make it a point
And paint your heart
With cruel composure
That you shall not deceive your conscience anywhere
