Deep Blue Poem by Denise Landau

Deep Blue

Rating: 4.0

Deep Blue

Morning or evening, the sky is white
Against the distant trees.
The deepest place, the soul of it,
Lies further upward
Where the sun shines warmest,
Dark and blue against the clouds.

Troubled rains, stormy disaster
May cover it for a time
But it is always there,
Waiting to be found again,
In the path of the sun,
When the time is true.

My love for you,
My most inward pain,
My deepest blue
Waits for you.
Always. Like the sky above.

'Here comes the sun, here comes the sun, and I say it's all right' -George Harrison I heard this song the day after I read your poem and it reminded me of your poem.
