The Deep End

To defend the indefensible
Based on a writ
Written by deluded people
Can only lead us down the abyss
For, nature abhors a vacuum

What is the worst void than a starting point devoid of merit
Based on a writ
Those that depend on it
Anointing themselves the ones
Anointed by who?
By themselves
Through the said writ
Written by deluded people

And now they spend silver and gold
expecting all to do what they are told
Defending the indefensible
In the name of a god
Sinking the whole world in the deep end
