Deep In My Mind

Deep in my mind you were found
Time after time safe and sound
But when I changed you were hurt
Found,
Face down in the dirt,
Writhing in pain,
Going insane
Yelling and screaming
Quietly dreaming
Huddled around a cold dark part
That I slowly recognized to be my heart.
