Deep Into The Earth Poem by Debora Soramaki

Deep Into The Earth

There lies a secret
Into the depths below
Craters extracted
The earthen glow
Never were the men aware
Little did they know
Antiquity carved out of steel
The value it would show
One young man discovered
The rare beauty of the rock
An exhilarating rush
He worked around the clock.
It's no longer a secret
In the depths below
MARY ELLEN JASPER
All would come to know.
