Deep Roots Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Deep Roots

Love!
Deep roots;
The kiss!
Under the rain.

Life!
Party lines;
Red poppies!
Like the wheels of the bicycle.

Life!
To embrace it with love and care;
Like the muse of the peacock.

Life!
With the acceptance of true love;
And, like the silent waves of the ocean.

Love!
With the deep texture of life;
And, with the muse of joy like,
The shadow of the moonlight
