Deepness Is Just A Paper Thin Single Hand Clapping Poem by Paul Brookes

Deepness Is Just A Paper Thin Single Hand Clapping

Rock of ages roll up, roll up, see the strong mans futility
so there is no messing about but then hubris fills the hallows
cast into your slumber a well warn existential path,
dig deep into your barrel.
imagined result for who lives in a barrel
except a crack pot.
stripped, ah but then life was simpler
ask Schopenhauer infra dig.
walking down nihilistic paths
we see nothing but reasoned absurdity
the universe stays screamingly silent,
even though it knows hope died
but then a voice echoes from the big bang
the joke is on us for there is no truth
in immolation of the dark mind
all that is left is laughter in the theatre of the absurd.
