Green Man Lie Within Poem by Paul Brookes

Green Man Lie Within

Rating: 5.0

all along the maypole the green mans face appears;
words and pages woven in pagan practices.
midsummer madness and particoloured fools
Morris and nine men dance bells a jingling
medieval man still lurks within us, for all our enlightenment,
we call it culture but it's really superstition
