Defeat Poem by Hebert Logerie

Defeat

Rating: 5.0

All beings must face defeat one day
No one is spared of this mortal tray
Trust me; it is never easy to lose
Your destiny is the chthonian noose
Waiting to hang you by the feet
Now or later, one must face defeat
One must kiss disappointment
For the last time, for the last moment.

You can weep all you want
You can wail this very moment
Everyone has his or her day in court
The seconds are racing, and the time is short
Now or later, one must face defeat
The undertaker is waiting at your feet
For your last breath
At the time of death.
