Delays Cost Time - Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet
Playing with the thoughts I have
Daily in my Mind,
Hoping to stimulate my Brain,
Not wishing to be unkind.
Trying to motivate myself,
To get my actions done,
Finding other things to do,
From Now till Kingdom Come.
Why cannot I find the ‘Get Up and Go'?
Why do I now delay?
Time is a'pressin to have fun,
Today and everyday.
Poems take a precedence
On my valuable time,
They really should take second place,
Today and every time.
Playing with thoughts yet again,
The words race to my Brain,
I must write down this poem now,
And go out before it rains.
