Demise Comments

Unblinking consciences squeezing triggers on defiant weapons. Lies and denials have become universal currency. Immoral short cuts We can't crop dust the evil from our jaded souls. We have become ancient Rome with terrible destructive weapons............ you have pictured really the situation at present.... we all live in fear........ any moment we can be destroyed...... such a terrible. world........ thank you very much dear poet...... thank you. tony

You state clearly and forthrightly - STOP YOUR VIOLENCE - Do not try to explain it, justify it, rationalize it - just stop it. Your poem is a cry of the heart against what can only be called madness. I'm impressed with your coherently layered references to specific injustices. This means your poem is a balance of clear thinking and passionate feeling. This is what we need!

I'll just say something about a pet peeve and SHUT UP (I PROMISE) . The Roman Empire was the only truly successful empire in early human history when EVERY NATION that achieved power tried to become an empire. The Roman Empire established the Pax Romana, built and maintained roads, trading centers, sea lanes free of pirates, promoted a universal language in demotic Greek, and extended Roman citizenship to all who desired it. And yes it was a military dictatorship. So why do people persist in treating it as a fallen society? ?

We have became ancient Rome. The poet concludes the things in that reality and shows the suffering of people that goes on.

Being a citizen of a nation which suffered for thirty years at a stretch from terrorism, I do feel your wrath very well. I admire your zest and courage to name a particular sect that always up to driving societies across the globe to this misery in the name of religion. They are obviously working day and night hard towards getting the whole world in their fist. Very well written poem. Please keep revealing such elements in society using your talents as a poet.

They even kidnap school girls to fight their coward religious wars for them! This misuse of religion must be condemned.Thank you for standing against the religious zealots

It does seem the last few years especially that this poem holds truth. It does seem as if no matter which news station you watch or which newspaper you read there is hardly ever any good news. I'd even settle for a somewhat happy clip once in awhile. Our society is definitely slipping.....
