Democratic Nations Poem by Udaya R. Tennakoon

Democratic Nations

Covered cloth history of democracy
You ask me to come into that
To be democratic and
To taste the culture of that

When I get ready
I feel that you are not ready
In the name of history
You have only the story

You show me that everything is open
The dialogue seems to be more soften
Draw a line in that is so coarsen
Democracy smile is you have chosen

Take a time even to a sensitive problem
Find a result in deeper wisdom
If it is not belonged to your kingdom
I feel what it is then freedom

You have a fence by that you are besieged
It is your protection of the life survived
Try to jump or creep, when the gate is closed
The key is kept and about the right is talked
