Demons Inside Poem by Ama Smith

Demons Inside

Rating: 5.0

Now:
Turn blind eyes
to desolate horizon.

Now:
Turn deaf ears
to grounded sparrow.

Now:
Turn cold hands
to salted garden.

Now:
Turn bloodied lips
to churning sky,
And scream...
Scream,
SCREAM!

An insightful depiction of depression - the attack of self by one's own mind, is well depicted in the poem. A lovely piece of poetry, well articulated and insightfully penned in poetic diction with conviction. Depression is a situation when the sun stops shining for one, the individual is sad all the time, the sadness so heavy that the person just can't get away from it. A lovely poem bristling with knowledge. Thanks for sharing Ama. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
