Demons (Lyrics) (2005) - Poem by Patrick Wescott

What is this being
that rules over my soul.
With my heart in its hands
and its teeth in my mind
causing me to do its will
It forces me to love, hate or care
without clueing me into the why
It has control over everything I do
and everything I say
It owns me complete
without mercy

with begging and pleadding i....
with tryin and crying i....
to no avail i...
these deamons control me..

ripped down to my desecrated soul.
what is that you wish to see
peering deep inside as you look at me.
i do not know what you seek.
from the outside you see a boy
from within a deamon

with begging and pleadding i....
with tryin and crying i....
to no avail i...
these deamons control me..

taste my fear (in fear we trust)
feel my pain (for that i lust)
rejoice in it (on your knees)
let it set you free (free free free)

with begging and pleadding i....
with tryin and crying i....
to no avail i...
these deamons control me..

in a corner, empty room.
full of hate i lash at you,
a deamons pawn, a little game.
you must lose. in the end all shall fall.
for this deamon wil prepail

with begging and pleadding i....
with tryin and crying i....
to no avail i...
these deamons control me..
