Depressed Poem by XxAmieLee xX

Depressed

Rating: 4.9

I sit here, in this darkened corner,
bleeding at the wrists,
the scissors still lay open,
my hands clenched into fists

Why did he say it? Why did he do it?
Why did he say that to my face?
He said he didn't like me because of my habits,
he said I was wanting to erase

This depression, this feeling,
has got me feeling so blue, .
I sit here, bleeding and crying,
I can't figure out what to do

The structure and rhyme is fetching - when it appears effortless one knows the tone is just right! Great stuff. Rgds, Ivan

Depression manifests in several ways, sometimes as violent as you said....overcoming depression especially by young is a great challange people are facing today. You have taken up a very apt subject and dealt t so wonderfully, touchingly....10+

You have expressed the helplessness of the 'black dog' of depression very effectively in this dramatic poem. I also like your used of rhyme and the general phrasing of the piece. Hopefully the subject matter is not too close to home. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
