His young wife, his love
His entire life a companion,
He didn't recognise the signs
Before her life came to an end.
When he looked back in time
He now knows she was depressed,
Hindsight can be cruel,
She hid how she felt-he did his best.
If he could relive that day
He would recognize her pain,
As a hint of mental illness
And would be more mundane.
It’s too late now
Her final thought was suicide,
We all need to be educated
It's a dark roller coaster ride.
Depression can be a killer
We must all pay attention,
Some people desperately need help;
Without apprehension.
yea 'depression can be killer' a 10+ for this nice composition.

Depression - the loss of sunshine in a life at its lowest ebb is aptly captured in the poem. Very insightful. Thanks for sharing.
