Depression Poem by Cainneach Rua

Depression

I hang on a cross. You hang on a bed.
I endure for three hours.
You endure at 3 am.
I thirst. You hunger for
Love.
I feel abandoned. You feel alone.
I am ridiculed. You are stigmatised.
I am naked. You are clothed in sorrow.
I am misunderstood. You are too.
Can't you see?
We are in this together.
