Deprived Sanity Poem by claire burrber

Deprived Sanity

Rating: 5.0

My rays of sun
have turned to gray
and always rain
on my
kept safe heart.
The thoughts
that run through my mind
are those of you leaving me
behind.
Which deprives me
of my sacred sanity.
And what scares me the
most.
is that one day
you will dispose of
me. And wont need
my lending hand.
And always being
on the verge of
it being my last chance.
Which deprives me of
my heart.

Claire, I have been on the verge for a few months with someone and I am so captivated by how you expressed that emotions in this worderfully written poem. That someone just let me go and I realized by reading this poem how I was losing my sanity. Thank you for sharing this poem. Please keep adding more poems so I can keep reading. Pam

Very good poem. I like the observation about how being on the very of losing someone always deprevies you from love, if I read the underlying message right. (at least that is what I saw in it) Cant wait to read more, Keep it up!
