Designed To Last Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Designed To Last

No more the climb, no need to rise,
In others' eyes, a phantom prize.
My own deep worth, I've found it true,
Each passing day, a joy anew.

I live my life, no need to fret,
The world's opinion, I forget.
If peace is stirred, and calm departs,
A gentle nudge to search my heart.

What was my part? I humbly ask,
Behind life's mask, a hidden task.
Was patience thin, was temper frayed?
My selfish way, a price I paid.

Afraid? Intolerant? What did I hide?
Let go of pride, step aside.
I ask for help, a higher hand,
To understand, across the land.

Though scenes may shift, and troubles stay,
Humility lights my way.
Reliance placed in power vast,
Brings inner peace, designed to last.
