Desire - Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

In the middle
of a swirling spectrum
there is a cherished desire
that is transfixed...
focused on a dream
centering on trust…
an encompassing fixation
impossible to resist

The hours of the day
are invaded by
images that glow
like a treasure of gold
Controlling each
nurturing breath
as the possibility
of securing takes hold

A dimension of newness
introduces itself...
dormant feelings are ignited
lulling adoration
flickering flames
of love replace aloneness...
adding brilliance
to a whirling constellation
