Despair.... Poem by elvashira silvertongue

Despair....

Rain rain go away!
Can't you see i'm bound in chains?
Chains of darkness the color black.
Here in my despair is where I find myself at.
Drowing in this pain is where i lay,
Don't pity me! There's nothing more to say!
Trying to go on like a normal day
Don't let these crystal tears fall ignore the pain!
Sobs rack my body silver tears treck down my porcelain face.
I've lost the battle given up my hope.
Does anyone care? .....nope.
Here i stay, here i lay,
Waiting ever so patiently for the day,
My friend, my heart, my light,
Will finally find me and take up this fight!
Against the darkness bleak and bare,
But until then i sit in my despair.

I'm not at all surprised that the poet of DESIRE is also the poet of DESPAIR. There seems to be a balance in human affairs with one intensity (which is wonderful!) being balanced by another intensity (which is a bummer) . Or it goes in the opposite direction with something negative followed by something positive. Who can explain why this dynamic runs through our lives? But we don't live in paradise, and even if we did, would we want to flatten experience so there would neither highs nor lows? I would say, the ecstasy in your poems, expressed by your silver tongue, make the valleys of disappointment bearable, because just ahead rises one of those summits that Elvie experienced as a wonderland! !
