Homesick Poem by elvashira silvertongue

Homesick

Rating: 5.0

This life wears on me day by day
Finding it so difficult to stay
Words, feeling, love, light has gone astray
Sanity decays!

Leaving a gaping hole in my chest
Calling for the final rest
I've fallen and failed the test
Silence reigns!

Crying out for mother goddess to my soul dear
Everything that once brought life love and beauty dissapears
Nothing more here then lies and fears
Holding onto memories of days past
Of sights, smells, sounds that aren't here
Pain flares!

A new day, a new fight, soon my soul will take flight
Sick and tried of this eternal fight
Open your arms and let me come home
For a place i'm not sure exist
For a person i know not who in my dreams
So softly my lips doth kiss
I am so homesick
