Desperate Juicebox Brass Poem by Jonny Christmas

Desperate Juicebox Brass

Rating: 3.8

I went to New Jersey
What a state, right?
A place where you can get a new start, right?
Or at least a new shirt
I
suppose

There is a giant cat inside my kitchen, JORGE!
Wait.
That's not a cat.
Am in line, or am I doing lines?

Charlie Chaplin is here
Or maybe not
I don't know anymore

If he's screaming
it's
all
still

.

Did Charlie Chaplain just sell me a ribbon?

That's all.

Interesting and effective use of disjointed construct to engage the audience and draw them into the question, ''What is going on here? '' Tracing the outline of the answer requires an extra reading or two, but your expression makes the effort worthwhile.
