Destination, Awakening Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Destination, Awakening

Wars within, Do not give into the void
Express upon all emotions poetically so
Use metaphors if need be
Just as long as you set yourself free

Each battle that wages on
Fight with everything and all
Never give into nothingness
Nothing is worth being invisible

Truth, Anxiety is strong
Yet, it can be defeated
Forever gone
In the realm of its own misery

Happiness, you are always invited
So is love itself
Uncharted feelings
Awaiting better days ahead

Euphoria, Help me win these wars
For they are always trying to invade these thoughts
Give me wings to travel everywhere
Upon gypsy dreams full of loving metaphors

Me, we are winning
With more progression than ever before

I am equipped with knowledge
Strengthened, if any more wars

Allotted feelings
In a whole new perspective
Positive energy
To the essence to this soul

Positive energy
To the endless growth of this very soul

Love, within myself and wherever I may roam

Nothing special
Limitless within my own growth

I will never win the war
But the scars I will always call them my true form, my home
