Destiny Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Destiny

Destiny, what is left?
Pleading for a difference
A cleansing of the same
Stuck in reverse
Need to go full speed ahead

May the stars align?
Mapping out many a destination
Clearance from these impeding thoughts
That flies right in
One after another
Warp speeding, debt bleeding
With nothing of worth
Upon living amongst the less

And I try and try
Change is what I need
Tired of every redundancy
Walking miles of tireless sleep
Destiny, Catch me
I need a quick release

Falling astray for away
Searching for a different day
Some kind of change
Fantasizing self out of range
Freely going every which direction
Constellations guiding this heart
To a match made in the heavens
Under the clear skies
Where the stars shine in unison

Destiny, I need you
Catch this soul on your next wind
Praying for a difference
Many adventures ahead
In a direction all brand new

Destiny, Catch me
Never let go
