Us & Them
Just as I Am
Just as You are
At every stage
Between angelic rage
And devil-may-care
Preventative maintenance
To prevent ‘rust’
With the ‘lustolieum’
‘Heaven’ if you do it
‘Damned’ (if you don’t)
To a life of ‘What if’s’.

The ‘Devil’ made you
‘do it’
And the ‘Angel’ made
‘it’ oh so very good
And ‘amazing Grace’
Delivered both
Beyond the bombs
Of ‘judgment’ days
Back home to
Eternity.
