Dew Drops Poem by Greg Uhan

Dew Drops

Dew drops shimmer with stardust
speckled rainbow light

Sun kissed green grass watered
with Quetzaquetl's fiery seed and
Isis's tears of pure joy

Warm solar waves caress
carried on the back of a chill
borealis breeze

Invigorating daylight blazes
forth its torch valiantly

A bronzed faced August
let's loose her long
golden blonde locks

Teasing me into taking
off my shoes

Like a clear glass of peridot wine
her sunny figure shines

Oh fusion of inner
and outer light!

when the stars
above align

themselves
just right!

and beauty exudes
nothing but herself

In a speechless out pouring
of ecstatic over flowing!

To live in such moments
even on the most
ordinary of days

To breathe the promise
of a love so pure

to be driven mad with awe
at the intrinsic extraordinary allure!

armed with a mug
of black coffee and
bowl of green herb

Psychedelic shamanic
tribal trance dance

vibrating through
stereo speakers

I try to capture
but a glimpse

into the clarity
of the dew drops

as the day blossoms
with the fire of burnished jasper

Trying to measure
how much I hold back

I can only grasp at
certain intangible variables

Plagued with vague instruments
designed to articulate the incalculable

Or calculate the inarticulate

Whatever it is
It almost always

adds up
about even

Or at least
equally odd
