Did I Just Say Dimentia Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Did I Just Say Dimentia

He's punch drunk, stammers and always forgets
Taken too many thumps to his head
Never learned how to duck that's what he gets
He cannot remember just what you said

Parkinson's and Alzheimer's creep up slow
Tries to hide it but everyone knows
Brain damage incurred with every blow
Synaptic distortion in mind grows

The aging process will now take its toll
For he wasted his time on booze and moles
Still thinks he's got it tries to rock and roll
Though he's down and out plays the tough guy roles

His greatest opponent he now must face
As memories disperse without a trace
